Hello, and welcome to Chiltern Pet Services.

My name is Katy Dear, and I run Chiltern Pet Services from Stoke Mandeville in Buckinghamshire.  I am a qualified Dog Trainer with the Academy of Dog Training and Behaviour and am also studying Advanced Canine Psychology with the Animal Care College.

I currently have 3 dogs!  Jack, 8 yrs old (Border Terrier/JRT cross), Phoebe 6 yrs old (Terrier/Corgie cross),and Harley 4 yrs old (Labrador/Pointer cross).

All 3 are rescue dogs, I adopted Jack and Phoebe from the RSPCA as puppies, and adopted Harley, from Stokenchurch Dog Rescue, when he was just a year old.

I have had, over the years, experience in working with many dogs with different needs, be it basic Dog training, or specific training for Dogs with behavioural problems.

All of the training methods I use are kind, and reward based, I believe in encouraging and rewarding good behaviour. No harsh training methods are used.

Chiltern Pet Services provides a Dog Walking service, A Home visiting service for dogs, and a Home visiting service for cats and small pets whilst you are on holiday.

In addition to this, I am also available for one to one Dog Training Sessions, which has proved popular with owners of very young pups, or people considering taking on a rescue dog, or have a dog with behavioural problems.
